FMBS Combi Floor

FMBS Combi Floor = Vibration + Pulsed Electromagnetic + Weighbridge

Vibration Therapy can be used to stimulate blood circulation throughout the body and can be used to treat inflammation, speed up the healing process, reduce pain and aid in the prevention of injury.

It can also be used to promote the development of muscle tone and bone density, in performance horses. As it is a standing therapy, it can easily be used to treat horses on box rest or in rehabilitation routines.

Here are some interesting facts about our combi floor

(Vibration+PEMF Therapy with Weigh Scales):

  • Our Combi Floor with pulsating electromagnetic field, is a powerful combination of Whole Body Vibration Therapy and Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMF).
  • We have full control over the vibration and PEMF intensities. What’s more the therapies can be used together or separately within the floor, allowing for huge flexibility and the user to be very specific with the therapy of a whole range of conditions.
  • Whole Body Vibration (WBV) therapy is based on regular short units of high-frequency and small amplitude movements (Rubin et al. 2003).
  • These movements stimulate muscle contraction and increase circulation, stimulating healing and optimal physical performance from the inside out, impact and concussion free with minimal wear and tear on the body.
  • PEMF improves blood flow and works on cellular repair promoting improved recovery from injury or post exercise

  • Working with your horse so it is happy to stand in an enclosed space.
  • Handling your horse from both sides.
  • Walking and standing your horse in water.
  • Cross tie experience (we use in the washbay and combi floor area).

Ideas

  • Practice asking your horse to stand on a mat/different surface.

Inform the team if your horse has any fears so we can ensure that we can plan an introduction session to our facility that better suits its needs.

Please arrive with your horse clean and free from mud, dirt and pick hoofs out once you arrive.

Please ensure your horses tail is wrapped up in a tail bandage.

No overreach boots or training aides can be used on the treadmill.
